The Schneider Electric NTSDDI1602XHK is a Modicon Edge I/O NTS discrete input module kit with 16 type 3 inputs at 24 V DC sink logic split across 4 isolated groups of 4 channels, pre-assembled on its NTSXBA0100H base for severe-environment use. Channels wire in 1, 2 or 3 wires and run across an extended -40...70 degC range with conformal-coated electronics. It mounts on a DIN rail and connects to Modicon M262 or M580 controllers.

Splitting the 16 channels into 4 isolated groups of 4 on the NTSDDI1602XHK means a field-side fault on one group does not propagate to the others, a property worth paying the wider 30 mm footprint for on panels with mixed or physically separated sensor circuits. The hardened build adds conformal coating and the extended -40...70 degC range over the standard NTSDDI1602XK. Where group isolation is not needed and the panel is climate-controlled, the single-group NTSDDI1602K covers the same 16-channel count in a narrower 15 mm module.
