The Schneider Electric NTSDDI0402K is a Modicon Edge I/O NTS discrete input module kit with 4 configurable type 2/3 inputs at 12/24 V DC sink logic, pre-assembled on its NTSXBA0100H base. Channels wire in 1, 2 or 3 wires with broken-wire and short-circuit diagnostics, covering a -20...60 degC operating range. It mounts on a DIN rail and connects to Modicon M262 or M580 controllers.

Selection Notes

The per-channel broken-wire and short-circuit diagnostics on the NTSDDI0402K flag a disconnected sensor rather than reading a silent false OFF, a useful property on interlock circuits where a fault should be visible to the controller. The configurable type 2/type 3 compatibility accepts either standard PLC sensors or lower-threshold proximity switches on the same channel. Step up to the hardened NTSDDI0402HK instead when the panel sees vibration, condensation, or ambient swings beyond the -20...60 degC standard range; the electrical rating is identical between the two.
