Selection Notes
The METSECT5MC080 carries 800 A primary current through the same 32 mm MC window used by the lower-current variants, with a 48 kA thermal rating that is the highest in the MC line. Choosing it over the 600 A unit makes sense once the feeder's fault current calculation shows the lower-rated core would saturate; the window size and mounting options stay identical across the family, so this is purely a current and thermal-duty decision.
