- Description
The Schneider Electric METSECT5CC010 is a PowerLogic solid-core current transformer tropicalised for cable mounting, with a 100/5 A current ratio and a 21 mm cable window. It is rated Class 0.5 accuracy (Class 0.5 at 2 VA, Class 1 at 2.5 VA, Class 3 at 3.5 VA) with a 6 kA thermal withstand current, suitable for metering and protection-relay current inputs on DIN rail or mounting-plate panels.

Selection Notes
Accuracy class sets the use case: this unit's Class 0.5 tap supports revenue-grade or sub-billing metering, while its Class 1 and Class 3 taps on the same core cover panel indication and protection-relay feeds respectively. The 6 kA thermal withstand current scales with the 100 A rating, so moving to a higher-current sibling in the CC series also raises the short-circuit withstand available at the metering point — pick the ratio that matches the actual line current rather than the breaker frame size, since oversizing a CT ratio reduces measurement resolution at normal load.
