  • Description

The Schneider Electric LUFV2 is a TeSys U function module that plugs into LUB120, LUB320, or LUB380 advanced power bases to monitor motor load. It outputs a 4-20 mA signal proportional to the average-current-to-Ir ratio, into a 100 ohm typical (500 ohm max) load impedance, and is powered from an external 24 V DC supply.

The LUFV2 is the module to specify when a PLC or SCADA system needs a continuous analogue picture of motor loading rather than a simple run/fault contact; its 4-20 mA output scales directly with the control unit's current-setting ratio, so the PLC can trend load trend and flag an approaching overload before the thermal protection trips.
