The Schneider Electric LUCA12B is a TeSys U standard control unit providing adjustable thermal-magnetic motor protection from 3 to 12 A. Plugged into a LUB12, LUB32, or LUB38 power base, it forms a complete starter-controller with Class 10 overload tripping, phase-failure sensing, and earth-fault detection for 3-phase motors up to 5.5 kW at 400 V, controlled from a 24 V AC supply.

Selection Notes

The LUCA12B's 3-12 A range covers the next motor band up from the LUCA05B, up to 5.5 kW at 400 V, while keeping the same Class 10 trip curve and plugging into the same LUB12/32/38 bases. Since it still inserts into a non-reversing base, fit the LU2B or LU6MB/LU2MB reverser hardware separately if direction reversal is needed. Step up to the LUCA18B if the motor's full-load current exceeds 12 A.
