The C25F4TM200D1 is a 4-pole Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX200 DC PV moulded case circuit breaker rated 200 A at 40 °C, built for 1000 V DC photovoltaic circuits with a TM-DC thermal-magnetic trip unit and a DC breaking capacity (Icu) of 10 kA with all four poles connected in series, at a net weight of 2.8 kg.

Unlike the 125/160 A NSX125/160 DC PV breakers in this range, the C25F4TM200D1's instantaneous pickup is adjustable (5...10 x In) rather than fixed, giving finer tuning against the PV array's short-circuit current contribution, which is typically only slightly above rated current. The 200 A frame shares the same 10 kA DC Icu and 140 x 161 x 86 mm body as the smaller NSX125/160 DC PV units, so the choice between them comes down to the string's rated current alone.

Applications

String or sub-array protection on 1000 V DC photovoltaic installations, ahead of the inverter DC input, where the breaker must clear DC fault current rather than only isolate it.
