Selection Notes

The MicroLogic 2.0 trip unit on the C160N420FM provides long-time overload (L) and instantaneous short-circuit (I) protection only — there is no short-time delay stage, so this 4-pole, 1600 A breaker suits a terminal or feeder position rather than a selective main incomer. Step up to the 5.0 (LSI) trip unit in the same NS1600N frame when the installation needs short-time discrimination with downstream devices, or to 6.0 (LSIG) when ground-fault tripping must also be integrated.
