- Description
The Schneider Electric BMI1003P16A is a Lexium 32i servo motor with the drive electronics built into the motor housing, rated for 8.5 N·m continuous stall torque and a 6000 rpm maximum mechanical speed on a 208...480 V three-phase supply. It pairs with an LXM32i CANopen or EtherCAT control unit, uses a keyed 100 mm flange shaft, and carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder at 32768 points/turn.

Selection Notes
The BMI1003P16A is the largest frame in the integrated-drive BMI line used here, stepping up to a 100 mm flange and 8.5 N·m continuous torque against the 70 mm BMI0702/BMI0703 motors' 2.48-3.4 N·m. Pick it when the axis torque requirement outgrows the 70 mm frame rather than adding a separate drive, since the LXM32i stage is sized into the motor itself. All mounting positions are permitted (IMB5 horizontal, IMV1/IMV3 vertical), which gives more installation freedom than a motor that depends on a wall-mounted external drive.
