- Description
The Schneider Electric BMI0703P16A is a Lexium 32i BMI servo motor with the drive electronics built into the motor housing, rated for 3.4 N·m continuous stall torque and an 8000 rpm maximum mechanical speed on a 208...480 V three-phase supply. It pairs with an LXM32i CANopen or EtherCAT control unit and uses an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder.

Selection Notes
The BMI0703P16A's medium-inertia rotor (1.67 kg·cm²) suits medium-load axes better than a lower-inertia motor in the same frame, trading acceleration for smoother handling of reflected load inertia. Because the power stage is built into the motor housing, wiring between motor and drive electronics is eliminated, but the unit still needs an LXM32i CANopen or EtherCAT control unit for motion commands and feedback processing. Without a holding brake, vertical axes need external braking to hold position when power is removed. The keyed 14 mm shaft and 70 mm international standard flange match standard Lexium 32i mounting hardware.
