- Description
The Schneider Electric BMI0702P16A is a Lexium 32i servo motor with the drive electronics built into the motor housing, rated for 2.48 N·m continuous stall torque and an 8000 rpm maximum mechanical speed on a 208...480 V three-phase supply. It pairs with an LXM32i CANopen or EtherCAT control unit, uses a keyed 70 mm flange shaft, and carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder at 32768 points/turn.

Selection Notes
Because the BMI0702P16A carries its own LXM32i power stage, selecting it means selecting the drive at the same time — there is no separate drive-sizing step, unlike the BMH/LXM32 pairing on the standard Lexium 32 motors. The 208...480 V three-phase input and integrated EMC filter make it a direct cabinet-space saver where a discrete servo drive would otherwise take a DIN-rail slot. Use the CANopen variant for simple point-to-point motion and the EtherCAT variant where the machine's other axes already run EtherCAT for synchronized multi-axis moves.
