- Description
Rated for 850 W at 1500 rpm with 5.39 N.m of continuous stall torque, the BCH16HM08132F6C2 is a high inertia Schneider Electric Lexium 16D BCH16 servo motor built around a 130 mm flange and a 23-bit absolute encoder. Paired with an LXM16D drive on a 220 V three-phase supply, it is housed in an IP65 enclosure with an integrated holding brake.

Selection Notes
Size the matching LXM16D drive to the 7 A continuous stall current and 24.9 A maximum Irms rating of this motor, not to the flange size alone. The 23-bit absolute encoder gives single-turn absolute position feedback, so the axis does not need a homing move after a power cycle. At high inertia (14.78 kg.cm2 rotor inertia), this 130 mm frame suits loads with a high reflected inertia relative to the motor, such as ballscrews or geared mechanisms, where a low-inertia motor would need closer inertia matching to the load. The integrated 15 N.m brake holds the 22 mm shaft at standstill when drive power is removed, which matters on vertical or gravity-loaded axes; on a horizontal axis with the load otherwise constrained, the brake-less variant in the same frame saves weight and cost.
