The ATV310HD11N4E carries two ratings on the same drive: 24 A continuous (11 kW) in heavy duty for constant-torque loads with high starting torque, such as conveyors, mixers, or crushers, and 30 A continuous (15 kW) in normal duty for variable-torque loads like pumps and fans that need more continuous current but less overload margin. Select heavy duty when the driven machine needs the 36 A / 60 s transient overload; select normal duty when the motor's nameplate current is closer to 30 A. Because there is no integrated EMC filter, add an external filter if the installation must meet EN 61800-3 conducted-emission limits; the native Modbus RTU port on the RJ45 connector covers basic speed/status control without extra hardware.
