The High Feature (HF) designation is what enables IRT and PROFIsafe on this module, so it is the interface module to pick when the ET 200pro station sits on an isochronous PROFINET segment or carries F-modules that need fail-safe communication; hot swapping is supported for module replacement without powering down the station. The integrated switch means no external PROFINET switch is needed to continue the line topology to the next station.
