The Schneider Altistart ATS22C59Q is a heavy-duty ATS22 series soft starter rated for a nominal operational current of 590 A (at 40 °C) and designed for three‑phase supply voltages in the 195–484 V range (commonly specified as 230–440 V AC, 50/60 Hz). It supports motor power ratings including 160 kW at 230 V (standard connection) and 315 kW at 400 V (standard connection), with additional published power points for triangle/star connections and alternate supply voltages. The unit provides torque control (current-limited starting) to limit inrush and mechanical stress during starts, and includes an internal bypass contactor to reduce heat dissipation and system losses once the motor is running. Integrated motor protection functions such as overload protection are provided, and the starter offers an RS‑485 communications interface for multipoint connection and configuration.
