Schneider Electric GV2P02 TeSys Deca GV2P 0.16-0.25 A Manual Starter and Protector

The Schneider Electric GV2P02 is a TeSys Deca GV2 thermal-magnetic manual motor circuit breaker with a rotary handle and an adjustable thermal setting from 0.16 to 0.25 A, plus a 3.08 A magnetic instantaneous trip. Rated for 690 V AC with a 100 kA breaking capacity across the full voltage range, it protects the smallest motors in the GV2 range, down to 0.06 kW at 400/415 V, with built-in overload and phase-failure protection.

Selection Notes

The P designation marks this as a thermal-magnetic protector: unlike the magnetic-only GV2LE range, it has a built-in adjustable thermal overload (0.16-0.25 A) alongside the 3.08 A magnetic instantaneous trip, so it needs no separate overload relay. Phase-failure sensitivity is standard on this trip unit, which trips on a lost phase before the motor is damaged. At a 0.16-0.25 A setting it is sized for the smallest single- and three-phase motors in the range (0.06 kW at 400/415 V); larger loads call for a higher current variant in the same GV2P range.

Applications

Used as a self-protected manual starter for small fractional-horsepower motors, fan drives and auxiliary machinery where combined overload and short-circuit protection in one device is preferred over separate breaker and thermal relay.
