The Siemens 3WA1116-3AB42-0AA0 is a draw-out-mounted, horizontally connected 4-pole air circuit breaker in the SENTRON 3WA series, rated at 1600 A continuous current with a rated breaking capacity (Icu) of 66 kA up to 500 V (50 kA at 690 V AC). It is supplied with the ETU300 LSI electronic trip unit and 2NO+2NC auxiliary contacts factory-fitted, dimensioned for main and sub-distribution switchgear operating up to 690 V.

At 1600 A and frame Size I, the 3WA1116-3AB42-0AA0 carries a class breaking capacity of 66 kA (Icu, up to 500 V). The fourth (neutral) pole is switched and protected with the phases, as required on TN-C-S and TT systems where the neutral must be isolated.

The draw-out (withdrawable) design lets the 1600 A breaker be racked out to an isolated position for maintenance without de-energising the busbar, suiting incomer and tie positions where continuity of supply during service is required. The shutter assembly shrouds live primary contacts when withdrawn. The ETU300 LSI trip unit provides long-time (L), short-time (S) and instantaneous (I) protection with independent settings for time-current selectivity. The factory-fitted 2NO+2NC auxiliary contacts wire directly into PLC inputs for position and status signalling.
