The Siemens 3WA1110-2AB02-0AA0 is a fixed-mounted, horizontally connected 3-pole air circuit breaker in the SENTRON 3WA series, rated at 1000 A continuous current with a rated breaking capacity (Icu) of 55 kA up to 500 V (42 kA at 690 V). It is supplied with the ETU300 LSI electronic trip unit and 2NO+2NC auxiliary contacts factory-fitted, dimensioned for main and sub-distribution switchgear operating up to 690 V.

Selection Notes

At 1000 A and Size I, this is the entry frame of the 3WA range — suited to feeder and sub-incomer positions where a moulded-case breaker no longer provides the required short-time withstand. The 55 kA Icw rating (0.5 s, up to 500 V) lets the breaker hold fault current long enough for downstream devices to clear first, so it can sit at the top of a selective grading chain without instantaneous override.

The ETU300 LSI trip unit provides long-time (L), short-time (S) and instantaneous (I) protection with independent settings — sufficient for time-current selectivity without paying for metering or communications you would only specify on a larger main incomer. This variant has no display and no communication bus; if SCADA integration is required, specify an ETU600-equipped order code rather than retrofitting. Fixed mounting removes the draw-out cradle, reducing panel depth and cost where the breaker does not need to be withdrawn under a live bus. The factory-fitted 2NO+2NC auxiliary contacts wire directly into PLC inputs for position and status signalling.
