The Schneider ATS22D62Q is an Altistart 22 soft starter rated for a nominal line current of 62 A and designed for supply voltages from 230 to 440 V AC (50/60 Hz). In typical installations it is sized for motors up to 15 kW at 230 V and up to 30 kW at 400–440 V, making it suitable for common industrial motor sizes used on pumps, fans, compressors and material‑handling equipment. The ATS22D62Q uses torque (current‑limited) start control — the starter limits inrush current (current limited to 3.5 × In) to deliver a controlled ramp and reduced mechanical stress — and includes an internal bypass to remove the power electronics from the circuit during steady‑state operation, reducing heat dissipation and losses. Factory settings place the device at 57 A, with the operating current adjustable to match the motor; the unit also provides built‑in motor overload protection and discrete I/O for basic status and alarm signalling.
