The 6 DI / 3 DO / 2 AI / 2 AO onboard I/O count and integrated STO safety function set the E-type CU240E-2 apart from lower-I/O control units in the CU240 family; pick it when the application needs onboard safe torque off without a separate safety module. Sensorless vector control, with no encoder input, covers standard induction motor applications; select a control unit with an encoder interface instead if closed-loop speed feedback is required.
