At 16 kW rated / 35 kW maximum, this Active Line Module sits well above the 5 kW Smart Line Module in the same S120 Booksize family; choose it where the connected Motor Modules draw more DC-link current than a Smart Line Module's 8.3A can supply, or where sinusoidal line-side current and closed-loop line voltage control are required rather than the diode-based Smart Line Module's simpler regeneration. The 65 kA short-circuit strength rating, versus 100 kA on the smaller Smart Line Module, reflects the different protection coordination needed at this current level.
