At 210 A output through the D485/210 field rectifier, this unit covers roughly double the current of the 90 A version in the same B6C two-quadrant family, so it fits larger DC motor loads without changing the control architecture. The two-quadrant topology gives controlled motoring and regenerative braking into the DC bus but not full four-quadrant reversing; projects needing lower current only should look at the smaller-frame SINAMICS DCM converter in the same range instead of derating this unit.

Applications
