The Siemens 6GK1503-3CC00 is a PROFIBUS OLM/G12-1300 V4.0 optical link module that bridges one RS 485 PROFIBUS segment to two single-mode glass fiber BFOC ports at a 1310 nm wavelength, carrying 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s (or 45.45 kbit/s for PROFIBUS PA) over runs up to 15 km. It runs on 24 V DC, includes a signaling contact and test port, and supports ring redundancy.

The single-mode 1310 nm optics push the reach to 15 km, five times the 3 km ceiling of the multimode glass OLM variants, so it fits a segment where the distance itself rules out any multimode option.
