- Description
The Siemens 6ES7522-1BP50-0AA0 is a SIMATIC S7-1500 digital output module, DQ 64x24VDC/0.3A SNK BA, packing 64 current-sinking transistor outputs onto one module in groups of 16 channels. Each output switches 0.3 A rated at 24 V DC, with up to 2 A per group at 60 degC, and it needs 35 mm cables and terminal blocks ordered separately.

Selection Notes
BA marks the Basic performance class, so this module trades per-channel diagnostics for channel density: 64 outputs on a single 35 mm module is roughly double the channel count of a standard 32-output card in the same family, which cuts rack space and IO addressing on machines with many discrete 24 V DC actuators. The lack of built-in short-circuit protection (external fusing at 4 A per group is required) is the tradeoff for that density; applications needing protected outputs per channel should use a module with integrated fusing instead. The 0.3 A per-channel rating fits small DC loads such as indicator lamps, small relays, and PLC-to-PLC signaling rather than motor contactor coils, which need a higher-current output module.
Applications
High-channel-count discrete signaling on machines with many small 24 V DC loads, such as indicator banks, pilot relays, and interlock signals, where rack space is limited.
