It transfers the power-supply bus, so the expansion rack runs off the central rack's supply instead of needing its own, but it does not carry the C-bus.

Selection Notes

This receiver pairs only with an IM 460-1 send module, trading C-bus visibility for a shared power supply on the expansion rack. Choose it over the IM 461-0 receiver when eliminating a second supply matters more than cross-rack diagnostics, and note its 1.5 m maximum cable run is shorter than the C-bus variant's. Choose the IM 461-3 receiver instead when the rack-to-rack distance runs well beyond a few meters.
