BA-Send starts an ET-Connection segment, the cabled link that lets an ET 200SP station's I/O modules be physically split and mounted apart from the interface module, useful when panel space or field layout does not allow all modules on one contiguous DIN rail run. Each hop on the Cu FastConnect cable, including the first one from BA-Send, is limited to 15 m from IM firmware V3.3 onward, so the total split distance depends on how many bus nodes are chained. It requires a matching BaseUnit BU-Send on the same slot to physically start the segment.
