The Siemens 6EP4297-8HB00-0XY0 is a SITOP BUF8600 buffer module that plugs into a SITOP PSU8600 power supply and uses maintenance-free electrolytic capacitors to hold a 40 A load for 100 ms during a mains interruption. It recharges in about 20 seconds at 400 V and reports buffer status over Ethernet/PROFINET through the PSU8600, giving the shortest, fastest-cycling bridge in the buffer-module line.
