- Description
The Siemens 6AU1432-2AA00-0AA0 SIMOTION CX32-2 is a drive-based controller extension that adds up to 6 servo or vector axes, or 12 V/f axes, to a SIMOTION D4x5-2 via 4 DRIVE-CLiQ interfaces. It runs on 24 V DC (20.4-28.8 V), draws 300 mA typical, and provides 6 digital inputs plus 4 configurable DI/DO channels.

Selection Notes
The CX32-2 exists purely to raise axis count on a SIMOTION D4x5-2 that has run out of onboard DRIVE-CLiQ capacity - it adds drive control, not standalone CPU logic. Choose servo or vector mode for closed-loop axes (6 max) or V/f mode when driving up to 12 simple axes without full servo dynamics. The 4 configurable DI/DO channels double as probe inputs for up to 4 axes, which matters on machines that need hardware-latched position capture rather than software-only homing.
Applications
Machine tool and packaging line expansions where a single SIMOTION D4x5-2 controller needs more DRIVE-CLiQ drive connections than its integrated interfaces provide, plus a handful of extra digital I/O for local sensors or probes.
