The Siemens 1PH8184-1AF00-2BA2 is a SIMOTICS M-1PH8 compact asynchronous motor rated across 3 speed points from 1500 to 2000 r/min, delivering up to 68 kW, 325 Nm and 118 A at 405 V. It runs IP55-protected with forced ventilation (DE to NDE), carries a Pt1000 temperature sensor and no encoder, and mounts IM B3 at a net weight of 350 kg.

This is the higher-speed, IP55 forced-ventilation winding of the 1PH8184 frame, covering 1500-2000 r/min at a near-flat 325 Nm torque rather than the falling-torque curve typical of a single-speed motor pushed past base speed. Choose it over the 1000-1350 r/min winding in this frame when the driven load runs above 1350 r/min continuously — the lower-speed winding does not reach 1500 r/min at all. Against the IP23 open-ventilated winding covering the same 1500-2000 r/min band, this winding gives up 30 kW of top-end output (68 kW vs 98 kW) in exchange for the sealed IP55 housing. The 118 A rated current at 2000 r/min sets the minimum drive output rating for this variant.
