The Schneider Altistart ATS22C32Q is a three-phase motor soft starter rated for 320 A (Ie) with a motor power capability up to 160 kW at 400–440 V and 90 kW at 230 V in standard line switching. It accepts a supply voltage range of 230...440 V AC (50/60 Hz), making it suitable for common industrial voltage classes. Typical motor compatibility includes medium-to-large asynchronous squirrel-cage motors used on pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors where soft acceleration and reduced inrush current are required. The unit provides torque-controlled soft starting and stopping (current/torque limiting), includes an internal bypass to reduce heat dissipation during run, and offers motor protection features such as overload protection and a PTC thermistor input for motor temperature monitoring.
