Schneider Electric ATS22 Soft Starter Series – Overview
Schneider Electric ATS22 soft starters are compact and reliable motor starting solutions designed for smooth acceleration and deceleration of asynchronous motors in standard industrial applications. The ATS22 series focuses on reducing mechanical stress, limiting starting current, and simplifying motor starting without advanced digital control requirements. With a proven design and straightforward configuration, ATS22 soft starters are commonly used for pumps, fans, compressors, conveyors, and general-purpose machinery where controlled motor starting is required.
Product Description: ATS22C21Q
The Schneider Altistart ATS22C21Q is a compact soft starter rated for 210 A (Ie) and designed for 230–440 V AC supplies. In inline (supply line) configuration it supports motors up to 55 kW at 230 V and up to 110 kW at 400–440 V; when used with the motor connected in delta the device supports higher motor ratings (up to 160 kW at 400 V, as specified for delta connection). Typical applications include centrifugal and piston pumps, fans, screw compressors, conveyors and other general-purpose industrial motor loads where limiting inrush current and reducing mechanical stress are priorities. Standout, verified features for the ATS22C21Q include an internal bypass contactor to reduce heat dissipation during run, torque (current‑limited) start control (start with torque control, current limited to 3.5 × In) for controlled acceleration, integrated motor overload protection, and compatibility with Schneider configuration tools (SoMove) for transfer of settings and quicker replacement. The unit is suited to procurement and engineering teams specifying a straightforward, robust motor soft starter for 3‑phase asynchronous motors in the 230–440 V class where a slim form factor and built‑in bypass simplify panel layout and reduce thermal footprint.
